We did a wonderful series with Nicole and this bike. This is a very custom Harley Touring motorcycle; it’s really a spectacular machine. The advantage of these touring bikes is they are so long, a model can recline very comfortably on it. The lighting and model pose had us thinking of the old Playboy art pieces that were done in the ’70s, so we went painterly in that direction. Up close and in the final print you can see the paint strokes on her figure as well as the bike and background.
To get the bike perfectly vertical we had to create a makeshift stand. She is looking more relaxed that she actually is. I took this from the top of a 10 foot ladder to get the right perspective for the feel of the image.
