Storms create the most amazing light to photograph in. I am not sure if we were in the eye, or the edge, or a trough, but the storm raged around us. A dustless breeze gently tugged at her hair, fabric, and the grass feathers. We had just arrived at our Italian villa. We had not taken time to even unpack, just spilled out of the car, fumbled through the prop suitcase for this robe. Our models were undressing as we raced to the empty field just outside of the driveway. Our assistant catching her clothes as we raced to this spot in the field.
The light was fading, but for the moment it was perfect.
She got to her spot, took a deep breath, then began elegantly posing to my direction.
It was magical; then suddenly it was gone.
The wonderful light turned grey and flat, the wind started to race; we were done. But this image… this image held the beauty of the moment.
