We were between concepts on the shoot. Our models had found relief from the Tuscan sun under this thatched roof. The cloudless sky, just beyond the lunch sun, was creating these wonderful contoured shapes. I went for the anonymity with just her lips accenting everything. Her skin tone is what is setting this image off – too light or tan lines would removed the simplicity of the design. I love it when a spontaneous unexpected image shows itself. It remains one of the joys of photography, the unpredictable image.
Each limited edition print will come with a Certificate of Authenticity.
